One Month!
One month ago today I married my very very very best friend.
He is so wonderful, and this month has been awesome.
We spent the wedding day at the Temple and then had dinner with family and close friends.
We spent the next day at the perfect reception and that night with my parents and grandparents opening gifts. Lovely weekend.
We then spent a week in Palm Springs and at the beach and Disney Land.
We spent a weekend in Iowa and had another reception.
Then we spent a day packing up my Colorado things and headed for our new home in Rexburg.
We spent about a week and a half unpacking.
And we have just been enjoying every minute!!
We have been going to the temple together, having movie nights, playing my favorite board game "Sorry" and cooking together. We have danced, laid on the floor and laughed, and we even built a tent over the hide a bed and slept in it. Just because we can, and because we are kids at heart.
For our one month (we celebrated friday because Garth got off work early and we could have an actual date night so we celebrated it on the actual 4 week mark) we both surprised each other.
Garth surprised me with my favorite roses. The peach colored ones. [:
And I made him a cake in the morning while he was at work so on his lunch break he would find it when he got home.
He really likes strawberries on his cakes so this is a white cake with homemade cream cheese frosting and a Danish Delight fruit topping with fresh strawberries. Its quite delicious and I thank my momma for sending me the recipe [:
Garth has basically annihilated the cake-- much to my delight.
I love being married
I love Garth
and I love being his wife!

Falling in love again
As I'm sure you all know, I have the best husband ever.
He reminded me of that yesterday.
We have been unpacking for alllmost a week now.
We both work so its been harder to be able to get things done in just one sitting.
It seems like we get a whole lot put away and clean and then its messy again because we open more boxes.
So I was beginning to be frustrated because its like we can't live normal lives with this major to-do list.
We are constantly working on it, just don't have enough time.
So yesterday I got home around 4 and he went back to work until 8.
I started going through everything and I guess you could say a girly moment started to happen.
I started to feel a little stressed, mixed with a little frustrated, mixed with a little sadness, and a little missing my mom.
I know I know female hormones-- so complex.
So I sat down for a minute and then made myself get up and keep going.
4 hours later I went to pick up Garth from work and asked him if we could just get through it tonight.
He quickly replied with "Yes! Lets just knock it all out!"
But I secretly hate that I don't see him all day and then we spend nights trying to get things done. I'd rather just sit and talk to him. (which we do still, just not for as long as I'd like!)
He must have picked up on that or just be a brilliant man because he stayed with me while I started dinner.
Then he turned on music while it cooked and danced with me.
Most of it was not serious especially when he said "This could be our highschool prom!" haha.
But he said that because he knew I was having one of those "we grow up so fast!" days. [:
He made me laugh. And he sang to me while we laughed and danced.
Then he ate dinner with me, told me how wonderful it was, how much he loved me, and how beautiful I am.
And he spent the next hours going through boxes and he was able to get the last room pretty much done.
All through that he just kept talking to me about childhood and different stories.
He was, and always is, exactly what I needed!

Life is changing
Here are some changes I like:
I never say goodbye to Garth. Just see you at this time. [:
I don't sleep alone.
We share an income and I no longer feel bad that he wants to pay for things.
We become closer every single day.
We share a home!
And then there are some things that just don't change.
He his my life
We're in love
We laugh all too often
He makes me happy.
End of story [:
I know I haven't posted in forevvver! But I'm going to save the wedding post for when I have the pictures. Ya know!?
However- my best friend Jamie threw me a wonderful bachelorette party! I had so much fun at it and I'm grateful.
My sister Anna took all me and the bridemaids out when I got to Colorado.
And my bridesmaids were all awesome at helping with whatever I needed! Love love love.
I miss my family a lot. My momma especially. When I'm putting away all the new stuff in the apartment I just want her to come help me because I know she'd know exactly where to put every little thing. She's the best mom ever. Grateful that she'll always be my mom.
The honeymoon was perfect. I wrote a journal entry about it so I promise I'll update you guys on that AFTER the wedding.

This is what happiness is.
Maybe its because I feel healthy again
Maybe its because my newly remodeled room is clean
Maybe its the smell of my favorite febreeze scent. (spelling?)
Maybe its the fact I have so many decorating Ideas for our apartment
Maybe its that I love the ring on my left hand's ring finger [:
Maybe its that I found spotify and have listened to good music all day
Or maybe its just because I get Garth forever. [:
For whatever reason I am so blissfully happy. My photographer canceled on me and I don't even MIND! Garth and I are taking a trip to the thrift store, and we are going to bake something. I don't know what yet. Then I'm going to get ahead on some homework.
Mostly I just want to share a thought with all of you.
I was thinking last week all about my life (big surprise I know...I'm always self-reflecting) , how much its changed, and what all my plans for myself have been. Its funny where your plans meet with reality. I'm so very happy right now, and so incredibly content. However, in all honesty, Garth was not part of the plan. Its funny how little we know ourselves compared to how well our heavenly father knows us. So grateful his plans are what happened in my life. I mean don't get me wrong, my plans were great. I would have been very successful. But I'm also learning I would have been miserable. This path makes me so much more happy, and feel so much more fulfilled. I just didn't know that then. Thats the great thing about the gospel. When you live it, you can feel a sense of direction in your life. And when you find a path, its not that you're letting go of anything you want or sacrificing your own needs, its that you're simply discovering something you want more, and need for your personal happiness. Grateful for a heavenly father who knows me and was looking out for me. Grateful for parents who taught me to rely on him and to never settle. Grateful for a fiance who is more than I could ever dream for myself. Grateful for siblings who are the only friends I have ever really needed in this life. And grateful for the opportunity to grow as life keeps going!
Loving life guys. Hope you are too. [:

Sicky
So its been quite an interesting week here in Rexburg
Started it off on Sunday with kyles talk at church and the linger longer after.
My roommate was sick that day and threw up twice so we just had a Lord of the Rings movie night that night.
Monday was class as usual.
Tuesday I worked and then I stayed up till 5am catching up on hw because I wanted time to focus on wedding stuff..So all my homework was done till Friday!
Then Wednesday I kept planning on sleeping but instead I rearranged my room did some group work and went apartment shopping. Garth and I signed a contract for a cute little two bedroom apartment (: so excited Haha. Then I had enough time to go home and sleep for a bit before work. However when I woke up I knew I was sick. So I hurried and made Garth dinner before I called in work. As soon as I finished his tacos it was off to the bathroom.
Long story short I was throwing up from 6:30-2:00am. My lovely fiance counted 29 times. Lol. I'm sharing this because I want to express gratitude for Garth. After seeing me run to the bathroom and hear me throw up many times, to watching me crawl to the bathroom, all the way to eventually just holding a bowl for me as I became more and more dehydrated he still comes around! Haha. He even took me to the hospital at 2 and held me while I threw up in the middle of the ER. then he listened to them talk about my digestive system and cramps for a good 10 minutes and watched as they hooked me up to the IV. Then he drove me home..got me a gatorade, some sprite, and water. Plugged in my heat pad and tucked me in bed at about 4am. Such a sweet boy. Glad he still loves me after seeing me at my worst.
