Wedding day!!

Okay I know I know, Finalllly I am going to tell you about my wedding day!
Of course I'm going to tell you-- it was the best day ever!!
The night before? Not so much.
I traveled from Rexburg for Christmas, so it wasn't like I had my whole closet to go through if I needed something, just had what I packed.
My "leaving temple" wedding skirt was in Colorado, so I just had to bring a shirt I guessed would look good with it.
Maybe it was the high levels of stress, plus the being surrounded by 3 girls, but this was a disaster.
The shirt I had brought didn't look good with the skirt, it was late, khols was closed, walmart had nothing, everywhere trendy was closed. For some reason this skirt was the straw that broke the camels back! I mean naturally around wedding time people are stressed and overwhelmed the closer it gets, but I was not expecting this. Somehow this skirt situation caused so much chaos, which resulted in some tears.
I had spent so long trying to not be stressed and just be appreciative for everything my family had done for me, but I guess my nerves finally got the best of me. I was so scared for the next day, so excited, so nervous that I didn't have everything done, worried I would mess something up in the temple, couldn't believe I was going to be a WIFE, and so sad to be leaving my home and my parents. So finally that all bubbled up into tears while I was alone in my room. Then I continued to cry because all I could think about was how I was going to get no sleep and my eyes were going to be puffy from crying! haha. Quite comical now.
My older sister heard me and came in, and I asked to be alone. Well I guess she was super concerned because she sent Garth up to my room to talk to me. When he walked in all I could think was, "my honeymoon suitcase is open and he can't see it!!" So all that came out was "get out! you can't be in here!" --whoops!
When that didn't work, Anna sent in my little sister. Now, Kelsey has this amazing ability to be a cute little girl no matter how old she gets. She walked in and just started crying. When I asked why she was crying she said she didn't know why she just cries when others cry. So cute! Then she said, "You just have this image in your head of how everything is supposed to be. Its never going to be that way, so you can't worry." There was my little sister laying down the logic! She eventually just made me laugh.. and she was right. [:

The only reason I'm sharing this is because I was so amazed at the change when I woke up. It was my WEDDING day. I was going to be going through the temple, and making the best decision of my life. I woke up giddy, excited, and completely at peace. My mom gave me a big hug and all day was all smiles and laughter. I went to get my hair done and make up-- turned out better than I even imagined. My bouquet arrived and was perfectly beautiful! The skirt and shirt amazingly actually looked good together the next day!
Garth and I rode to the temple together-- just the two of us. It was perfect. We got to focus on each other and discuss how excited we were, and laugh and ease the nerves. About 10 minutes from the temple we realized we were starving so we stopped at a gas station and got some crackers and muffins. [: The lady at the register said what are you guys doing today? To which we beamed and replied, "we're getting married!!" So awesome [:
Then we headed to the temple. My bridesmaids all had to wait outside, but most my family and close friends were there.
The temple was an amazing experience. One I'm so grateful I have.
I wore my dress in the ceremony so I had a lining that was stitched in the sleeves so I could wear it.
I wore my mom's dress as most of you know. Its about 30 years old. We changed it a bit, but it was gorgeous.
Unique, simple, with a splash of vintage. So so so ME.

Being in the Bride's room with my mom before I said yes to the man of my dreams was such a tender experience. I felt like a princess in that room. And I felt completely at peace with where my life was at in that moment, and so grateful for the shining example I have had from my mom. She helped me get all ready for the sealing and I feel closer to her because of that experience we shared.
THEN I was sealed for all eternity to Garth Wright!!
Forever and ever people! So happy.
After, we got to hug everyone that was in the room and my brother picked me up in my dress. There was a loud "POP" that came from somewhere on my dress. He immediately put me down and hurried away. Haha.. luckily we never found what popped.
Then we took the lining out of the sleeves, put on my veil, forgot to take off my temple socks...(oops), and headed to meet my husband!!
We got all situated for pictures and walked out the temple to celebrate with friends.

Then Bryan Clawson worked his magic with the camera for a couple hours.
(I tried to share pictures NOT on facebook so check those out if ya need)
That night we headed to my house will all those who attended the temple.
Spaghetti, Lasagna, salad, breadsticks, and alfredo were catered.
YUMMY. All of me and Garth's favs.
Then Garth and I headed off to our BEAUTIFULLY NICE hotel downtown.
Do you know what I love about my husband?
Well-- everything. But I'll get a little specific. [:
He knows exactly how to make me laugh. Being around him provides a sense of peace nothing else brings. Even when we dated it didn't take long for me to recognize he made me feel whole.
He's patient with me. When he told me he loved me he wasn't upset I didn't say it back. He knew I needed to know I said it on my own terms, and not just in reply.
He spoils me.
He took me to the temple, and enhances the spirit in my life.
He is the patriarch of our home and I trust him with everything.
He's MINE! [:
And. I will update you on the reception at a later date [:

My main men

So this week I got sick.
Not quite sure you could call it a cold.
It came out of nowhere at work and all the sudden everything was slow motion-y.
I got a fever, sore throat, and super congested within the next couple hours.
And just that overall achey sore sick feeling.
That feeling that makes you just want to sleep but you can't sleep because you can't breathe and your head is pounding..
Nothing too serious or life threatening.
Still my wonderful husband insisted on giving me a blessing.
So he called my brother over to help of course.
The moment I heard "Amy Lynn Wright.."
I teared up.
One reason being, I've never heard that in a blessing.
I've especially never heard my brother call me that.
And I was just filled with so much gratitude.
I have a wonderful brother who is a great example to me and has always been there for me.
I have an awesome husband who is also a great example to me and will always be here.
Both are righteous and worthy priesthood holders.
Both have helped shape me into who I am today.
And my life would be much less happy without them.
AND lucky me they're best friends!
Just so grateful for the examples I have had in my life
and for how blessed I have been!

Needless to say, after getting sent home from work the next day, and getting some rest I feel a lot better. All except my throat. That is getting increasingly worse. But I'll keep my fingers crossed that it will go away soon! [:

Our Trip to Logan

Last weekend Garth and I drove to Logan to visit his family. It was his sister Ana's birthday and no one but her husband knew we were coming for her party. The kids were all pretty excited when we showed up. Addison doesn't really like not being in the know, so she was sure to ask a lot of questions about why and how we got there so she could understand. We then the next day went to Kelci's wedding reception. Her colors were rainbow and the whole thing was adorable. I had been craving sweets alll day and her reception had a lot of bright candy and fresh fruit with a chocolate fountain. It was exactly what I needed...
I took some pictures but I don't want to upload those until she's uploaded her own and people have seen it.
It was a really fun weekend. Friday a party, Saturday a family bbq (Yes the weather WAS nice enough) Jonathan even went golfing! a wedding reception, church with the family, and then part of the super bowl with the family.
Saturday morning Addison and Kileigh wanted me to do their hair like mine with the "side bump" they called it. So I straightened Addison's and made it look all cute. Kileigh's hair is still really short and it turns out I don't know how to do it at all.. eventually she just yelled, "Go get my mom NOW". Haha.
Looks like I still have a lot to learn about Little Girls and their hair.
And Dalan, took his first steps-- 3 in my direction!. I felt really bad because the only people who saw it were me Chris and Garth. His momma missed it...

Mckenzie is my newest niece and you can tell she captivated a lot of my attention from my pictures.. [:
