My first home-made printable!

As I'm sure many of you know free "printables" are all the rage.
If not, here's some examples.

Inexpensive and cute up around the house.
I have the valentines day one on my end table right now and I love it!!

I'm working on learning how to create my own.
I made my first one today and all went well.
Only I can't quite share it with any of YOU yet because I'm having
issues with formatting and posting to the blog.

I just downloaded a high resolution white image
Edited it in picasa to change the color
Downloaded a free font I wanted
and then downloaded a dingbat text.. which is what created the hearts.
Then I sized it to 2000 pixels by 2500 pixels to make it an 8 by 10.
Now just waiting to remove my Valentines day one and replace it with this one!
Just learning so its simple and I'm no good with formatting, as I said.
So you get to look but so far you can't touch. Someday soon I'll make a super cute one to share!
Promise [:
Love learning new things.

I got the idea from pinterest.
You all should join that thing. Its marvelous.

One Month!

One month ago today I married my very very very best friend.
He is so wonderful, and this month has been awesome.
We spent the wedding day at the Temple and then had dinner with family and close friends.
We spent the next day at the perfect reception and that night with my parents and grandparents opening gifts. Lovely weekend.
We then spent a week in Palm Springs and at the beach and Disney Land.
We spent a weekend in Iowa and had another reception.
Then we spent a day packing up my Colorado things and headed for our new home in Rexburg.
We spent about a week and a half unpacking.
And we have just been enjoying every minute!!
We have been going to the temple together, having movie nights, playing my favorite board game "Sorry" and cooking together. We have danced, laid on the floor and laughed, and we even built a tent over the hide a bed and slept in it. Just because we can, and because we are kids at heart.
For our one month (we celebrated friday because Garth got off work early and we could have an actual date night so we celebrated it on the actual 4 week mark) we both surprised each other.
Garth surprised me with my favorite roses. The peach colored ones. [:
And I made him a cake in the morning while he was at work so on his lunch break he would find it when he got home.
He really likes strawberries on his cakes so this is a white cake with homemade cream cheese frosting and a Danish Delight fruit topping with fresh strawberries. Its quite delicious and I thank my momma for sending me the recipe [:
Garth has basically annihilated the cake-- much to my delight.

I love being married
I love Garth
and I love being his wife!

Falling in love again

As I'm sure you all know, I have the best husband ever.
He reminded me of that yesterday.
We have been unpacking for alllmost a week now.
We both work so its been harder to be able to get things done in just one sitting.
It seems like we get a whole lot put away and clean and then its messy again because we open more boxes.
So I was beginning to be frustrated because its like we can't live normal lives with this major to-do list.
We are constantly working on it, just don't have enough time.
So yesterday I got home around 4 and he went back to work until 8.
I started going through everything and I guess you could say a girly moment started to happen.
I started to feel a little stressed, mixed with a little frustrated, mixed with a little sadness, and a little missing my mom.
I know I know female hormones-- so complex.
So I sat down for a minute and then made myself get up and keep going.
4 hours later I went to pick up Garth from work and asked him if we could just get through it tonight.
He quickly replied with "Yes! Lets just knock it all out!"
But I secretly hate that I don't see him all day and then we spend nights trying to get things done. I'd rather just sit and talk to him. (which we do still, just not for as long as I'd like!)
He must have picked up on that or just be a brilliant man because he stayed with me while I started dinner.
Then he turned on music while it cooked and danced with me.
Most of it was not serious especially when he said "This could be our highschool prom!" haha.
But he said that because he knew I was having one of those "we grow up so fast!" days. [:
He made me laugh. And he sang to me while we laughed and danced.
Then he ate dinner with me, told me how wonderful it was, how much he loved me, and how beautiful I am.
And he spent the next hours going through boxes and he was able to get the last room pretty much done.
All through that he just kept talking to me about childhood and different stories.

He was, and always is, exactly what I needed!

Life is changing

I love life. I hate change, but these changes are not so hard to make.

Here are some changes I like:
I never say goodbye to Garth. Just see you at this time. [:
I don't sleep alone.
We share an income and I no longer feel bad that he wants to pay for things.
We become closer every single day.
We share a home!

And then there are some things that just don't change.
He his my life
We're in love
We laugh all too often
He makes me happy.

End of story [:

I know I haven't posted in forevvver! But I'm going to save the wedding post for when I have the pictures. Ya know!?
However- my best friend Jamie threw me a wonderful bachelorette party! I had so much fun at it and I'm grateful.

My sister Anna took all me and the bridemaids out when I got to Colorado.
And my bridesmaids were all awesome at helping with whatever I needed! Love love love.

I miss my family a lot. My momma especially. When I'm putting away all the new stuff in the apartment I just want her to come help me because I know she'd know exactly where to put every little thing. She's the best mom ever. Grateful that she'll always be my mom.

The honeymoon was perfect. I wrote a journal entry about it so I promise I'll update you guys on that AFTER the wedding.
